Glad the S-fund had a good loss day Friday, so I'm buying into it for December according to the Seasonal Strategy.

100% S-fund.

Maui are you using anything else as an indicator besides "the Seasonal Strategy" for this move?
Before they are reset scroll down to the bottom of this page and look at the four charts. I know Fri was only a half day, so the movements are a little exaggerated. But looking at the four, (especially the last 30 minutes of the day). Are they telling you anything?

Also I see alphaalpha (+11.52% YTD) is moving from C to S, so I have to have respect for the move, but I just don't see it. I could see a move to the C fund possibly (+14.06%YTD), because the stock market has not actually turns down yet. And when near the tops the S&P 500 seams to do better. But IMO it is also too risky now.

Hay, I'm not trying to talk anyone into or out of anything, I'm just wondering is there anything telling folks now is a time to be in stocks besides seasonality?

Nah, I actually am only looking at Seasonal Strategy for this move. I have yet to make teh move in my Real TSP account (G-fund right now), but it seems like the 1st couple weeks of December could be the down-slide of stocks, then pick back up mid-month.

Is that what you're saying Tom?

Went C-Fund yesterday. I figured it's a nice in opportunity after a really low day in stocks. Sure they may continue to go down Monday and Tuesday as well, but I'm taking the risk and riding the rest of December in the C.

I'm young and gotta play it a little risky. Ya never score the princess if you're too shy to ask her out on a date. ;)

Going with C instead of S due to the C's success this year in comparison. Not sure which fund will out-perform next year, but 2014 has been all about that CCCCCC, so Vitamin C it is.

100% C to kick off the weekend.

Made my IFT to the G-fund today.

I was going to go 100% to the F, but I know it's been riding kinda high this past year so I'm gonna just take guarenteed money for a couple weeks and probably get back into the C or S 3rd or 4th week of January for a bit.

Submitted an IFT to 100% S a little after noon, but canceled it. I'm going to re-submit it after 12:15pm to get it to the close of business in the G-fund tomorrow. Then be 100% S for next Monday (26th).

(That lines up with the Sig+1day rule right?) :)

Yea maui, one day can make a big difference sometimes. But I never wait, as soon as I see the stars aligning, I go full throttle. These last few up-swings have peter out quickly.

That move will also align with the seasonality dates that have been going around, won't it?

Yup! I kinda held off so I'll be in on the 26th to line up with Skiehawk's new strategy, just to see what kind of luck I could have. I can't argue with it's good track record of returns the last 10 years or so during those weeks.

Trial and error. I definitely wanna try these methods while I'm young and new to the TSP game so if it backfires, I won't be out too much. (hopefully!)

Glad I didn't jump on that IFT last Thursday for the slight loss and waited until COB 23rd for mine to kick in. Nice little 1.08% jump to start my S-fund IFT.

Here's to a few weeks of prosperity in the stocks!

Guess I haven't updated this in a while. I was taking a look at the Summer trend of the TSP and then looked at how the roller coaster of the F fund has been this year. I attached the chart from here showing that we're at a decent dip on the F right now and the S for me is sitting high at $38. So I might sit at least June out of stocks and possibly try to get back in for a month of gains partial July.

Glad with my decision to be in the S-fund yesterday with the gains it saw. Only lost a little with my time in the F for a week, but avoided a few days of losses bigger than mine.

I've been very bad at timing the market, and have been looking at different season strategies, a lot of readings from Aitrus, and decided to jump to the C-train for the ride into November. Since this roller coaster of a Summer/Fall has bounced me down a bunch, it's time for me to start making that money back.

Or maybe I should just mirror TimboSlice's account! :D

I am now at 0% YTD! That is the highest I've been in a LONG time! :) I'm so proud of myself for this accomplishment. That's basically me being tied for 1st place in 2016 so far, right?! I would advise you all to put me on your Watch List right now!

JK, but Happy New Years y'all!!
