I'm going with the median based strategy as discussed here:

I like your IFT sequence. Is there any specific reasoning behind this choice?

I’ve been using 165597 for a few years except cut back on F ifts and I did my annual reassessment of strategies this weekend and found that new one with a very high compounded return and deciding to mix it up. It resembles my initial one so it’s not a compete 180 change.

Makes sense. The only yellow flag for me is that the last three April and September equity performances have been a bust, which indicates a confirmed seasonal shift compared to the past 17 years.

Great point, sometimes I do follow blindly but more times than not I’m plotting key levels to confirm before making a change or go to G to play it safe. For example, small caps hit all times highs today and new strat says to get back in early December and my old one is mid December. Looking at YTD and average S fund returns I would lean toward being conservative and move mid month. But before that, I’m checking current key levels to make sure because I’m making the same moves in my personal accounts.

Good eye for April and September, I will keep an eye on it for sure!

The beauty of MJ's Results table is that you easily make out trends or (in this case) groupings of negative performance by month. A classic "heatmap" visualization. It's brilliant in its usability.

I made this one a while back https://www.tspcalc.com/seasonal.php?ID=253919 and I'm considering that for next year. Alternatively, I might go https://tspcalc.com/seasonal.php?ID=235027 (excellent all-round). I haven't decided yet. The first one is based on extensive research combining low SD with good returns for post-elections and the second one is just an all around one (that i built off of an older model from before 2020). Either way, I'm expecting a massive drop next year at some point (maybe 2nd half?) because of the yield curve + increase in unemployment. We'll see of course how that goes.

Wow, that alternate is super low variance.

I like Jhbulon
I am just an average Joe. I have no clue to what the market will do.
